It's Restaurant Week, Yonkers: Save Room For Dessert

YONKERS, N.Y. - No one should need an excuse to dine out, but if you’re looking for a solid reason to head to a nearby restaurant, look no further than Hudson Valley Restaurant Week.

Restaurant Week begins Nov. 5. More than 90 restaurants in Westchester County will be participating, offering great deals on fine dining.

Restaurants in Yonkers include Dolphin, La Lanterna Restaurant & Caffe, X20 Xaviar’s on the Hudson, Tombolino Restaurant and Zuppa Restaurant.

The event actually takes place during two gastronomically lucky weeks, Nov. 5 through 18.

And don’t stop eating with a single meal. Throughout the two weeks, top restaurants throughout Westchester County will offer special three-course dinner menus for $29.95 (plus beverage and tax). Many will also offer three-course lunches for $20. For these prices you’ll be able to eat your fill – and then some.

“There’s been an explosion of great local food in the Hudson Valley,” said Janet Crawshaw, who founded Hudson Valley Restaurant Week to showcase the valley as a premier culinary destination. “From casual neighborhood eateries to 18th century inns and luxury hotel restaurants with sweeping views to stylish riverfront hot spots, the Hudson Valley has it all.”

And with nearly 90 restaurants participating, Westchester County is the first stop --a gateway to 100 miles of great local eateries up and down the river, Crawshaw said.

Reservations are strongly encouraged and even required by some restaurants. To make a reservation, click on the menu link next to the restaurant you are interested in.

Note that menus may change as ingredients are not always available and quantities could be limited. As restaurants submit their menus, they will be posted on the website.

Gratuities are not included, so please remember to tip your server well.

Bon appetite!
