Alexandra Numeroff, a junior at Hendrick Hudson High School in Montrose, will be performing at Manhattan's Carnegie Hall and Australia's Sydney Opera House after being accepted into the WorldStrides Honors Performance Program as an Honor Choir member.

According to Hendrick Hudson School District officials, the Honors Performance Series recognizes students for their talent, dedication, and achievements shown in their audition recordings. Numeroff's audition was impressive enough to earn them a spot on the Honor Choir, district officials said.

Numeroff will perform with other talented singers from across the world and will work with renowned master conductors during the Honor Choir's performance at Carnegie Hall in November and the Sydney Opera House in July 2025.

As part of the trips, Numeroff will also get to tour both New York City and Sydney, including a trip into the Blue Mountains to meet notable Australian animals like kangaroos, emus, and koalas.

"Having the opportunity to perform at internationally-known venues is such an honor for me and I am so excited for the experience," Numeroff said, adding, "I have always wanted to work alongside musicians as passionate as I am, and being able to perform with them on top of exploring the wonders of New York City and Sydney with them will be life-changing for me.”

According to Hendrick Hudson High School Director of Choral Music Erica Denler, Numeroff certainly earned the opportunity:

"Alexandra is such a talented, dedicated student. Watching their talent grow these past few years and now seeing them take the stage in both Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House feels me with such immense pride. It’s a testament to their hard work, passion, and dedication," Denler said.

She continued: "I know Alexandra will make Hen Hud proud!”
