Westchester County Adds First All-Electric Buses To Bee-Line Fleet
Westchester County has added the first all-electric buses to the Bee-Line fleet. The county announced on Wednesday, Sept. 1, that it is adding six all-electric Bee-Line buses, including two 40-foot buses and four 35-foot buses. “This is an exciting day for commuters and the environment," County Executive George Latimer said. Westchester County Working Group Will Assist Schools In Fall Reopening
Perhaps the biggest decision Westchester County school districts have faced in recent weeks is how to safely reopen. A government task force is in place to help schools develop their plans providing support around the areas of public health, emergency preparedness and response. Flooding Causes Bronx River Parkway Closure
This story has been updated. With heavy rains hitting the area, the Westchester County Department of Public Works has been forced to close a stretch of the Bronx River Parkway due to flooding in the area early Tuesday afternoon. The DPW issued an alert stating that the parkway will be closed from the Westchester County Center to the Cross County Parkway. The parkway was closed from the County Center to the Sprain Brook Parkway at 1:30 p.m. before being extended to the Cross County Parkway a short time later.
