Bears Seen Near Busy Main Route In Westchester Those in Northern Westchester may want to ensure their trash cans are inside, as several bear sightings have been reported along a busy main route in the area.  In an announcement on Tuesday, June 25, North Castle Police said several bear sightings have been reported along the Route 128 corridor in the hamlet of Armonk near the border with New Castle.  The department warned residents to avoid becoming comfortable or complacent with the animals and not to deliberately or inadvertently feed them. Rededication To Be Held For Restored Eagle Sign In Westchester Months after vandals felled an iconic eagle sign at a Northern Westchester intersection, a rededication ceremony will soon be held to celebrate its restoration.  A rededication event for the North Castle Eagle at the intersection of Route 22 and Route 128 will be held on Sunday, June 2 at 2 p.m.  The event comes months after the sign was discovered to have fallen on Monday morning, Dec. 11.
