Escaped Horse Killed After Being Hit By Car On Busy Area Roadway A horse was killed after being hit by a car after it escaped its corral by jumping a fence onto a busy area roadway.  The horse, which was killed on Route 202 in Rockland on Monday, July 26, lived on a farm in a more rural section of Ramapo, police said.  Ramapo Police Lt. Tom Dolan said Wednesday, July 28, the horse escaped the corral about 4:30 a.m. and ended up on the roadway where it was hit and killed instantly. Bicyclist Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle In Area A man riding a bike in the Hudson Valley was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle, authorities announced. The crash took place around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, in Rockland County near the area of Viola Road and Underwood Road in the hamlet of Viola, said the Ramapo Police. The bicyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, police said. Roadways that were closed following the crash have since reopened. This is a developing story. Man Injured In Deck Collapse At Hudson Valley Home, Police Say One person has been injured after a second-story deck collapsed in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place around 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 14 in Rockland County at a residential home in the Hillcrest area of the Town of Ramapo.   One 58-year-old victim was transported to the hospital by Spring Hill Community Ambulance Corps & Rockland Paramedic Services, Ramapo Police said.
