A woman driving without a license was hospitalized after police say she caused a chain-reaction crash into a home in the Hudson Valley. It happened in Rockland County at around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 6 in Ramapo. An investigation by police determined that a vehicle traveling on the roadway had lost control, causing it to strike a parked vehicle. A Hudson Valley bookkeeper has been charged with allegedly stealing more than $83,000 from her employer. Rockland County resident Margarita Guina, age 48, of Nanuet, was arraigned on Monday, Jan. 24 following an investigation that she used her position to steal funds from her employer, said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. A motorist was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center after a car crashed into a utility pole, leading to the closure of a stretch of a busy roadway in the area overnight. The crash happened in Rockland County around 3:40 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 in New Hempstead, leading to the closure of Route 45 between Rensselaer Drive and Greenridge Way as Orange and Rockland Utilities crews worked to restore power. 9 Boys Injured, Three Seriously, In Hudson Valley Dorm Fire
UPDATE: Nine teenage boys were injured in an Orange County camp dormitory explosion and fire just after midnight Friday in South Blooming Grove, authorities reported. All were from Brooklyn, they said. Three were seriously injured and the others sustained minor injuries, fire officials said.
