Iconic Hudson Valley Eatery Days Away From Closing After 50 Years In Business After a half-century of slinging some of the best hot dogs to be found in the Hudson Valley, the three owners of Smith Street Hot Dogs are hanging up their aprons and closing the business permanently. John Pavlos, one of the owners of the Dutchess County restaurant located of course on Smith Street in the City of Poughkeepsie, told Daily Voice it's time to retire, spend some time with his wife, and travel.
