Popular Westchester Teacher Dies At Age 52 A popular Northern Westchester third-grade teacher, Josephine “Josie” Calvaruso, has died at the age of 52. Michael DiGuglielmo Sr., of Bedford, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 13, according to his obituary. Master Electrician Sol Gibbons, 94, Was A 48-Year Resident Of Mount Kisco Solomon (Sol) Gibbons died on Nov. 12, 2020 at the age of 94, in White Plains. He was born on April 3, 1926, in Grimsby, England and grew up in the East End of London. After surviving the London Blitz by sheltering in the Underground, Sol entered the RAF in 1946. In 1954, he immigrated to the United States, where he continued working as a master electrician. Sol lived for 48 years in Mt. Kisco and most recently in White Plains. Dead Man Found Floating In Westchester Pond, Police Say A dead man was found floating in a pond in Northern Westchester by a police sergeant on routine patrol. The body was spotted around 2 p.m., Friday, May 1, by the Westchester County Police sergeant on routine patrol in Mt. Kisco, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the department. The body was floating in the pond at Leonard Park, O'Leary said. The cause and circumstances of the man's death are under investigation.  This is a developing story. Sol was born on Aug. 15, 1932 in Jersey City, New Jersey, to Benjamin and Anna Bloom Krongelb.  In 1953, Sol married his high school sweetheart, Gladys Anne Steinfeld. Sol and Gladys moved to Cambridge, MA, where they both pursued advanced degrees. In 1959, the couple built a home in Somers, and there they raised their three children.
