An airline from the Dominican Republic will soon make its debut in the New York City area, offering budget-friendly flights to the Caribbean nation. Frontier Plans Flights From JFK To Three New Destinations, Special Deals Offered
Frontier Airlines is expanding its presence at John F. Kennedy International Airport with three new nonstop routes launching in the spring of 2025, officials said. Frontier will start flying from JFK to Miami, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Los Angeles, the airline said in a news release on Tuesday, Jan. 7. An airport has become the first in the United States to test out COVID-19 detecting dogs. During the 30-day pilot program, the two dogs, named Cobra and One Betta, will help screen employees for COVID at Miami International Airport, the airport said in an announcement on Wednesday, Sept. 8. Cobra is a Belgian Malinois and One Betta is a Dutch Shepherd. A 27-year-old man from Westchester was found shot to death along with his girlfriend in a double homicide committed by a jealous ex-boyfriend, police said. Michael Tarulli of Irvington and his girlfriend Jenny Koonoolal-Jagdeo, 32, were found dead in different rooms of a Florida apartment on Thursday, Nov. 8, according to the Miami-Dade police.
