Westchester 20-Year-Old Among 5 Members Of USA World Cup Team With NY Ties
Five players with ties to New York are members of the USA men's national team in soccer's World Cup in Qatar.
One of them, a 19-year-old New York native, is the youngest player to ever start for the USA team.
Born to a Ghanaian mother in the Bronx, Yunus Musah, a midfielder, grew up in Italy before moving again with his family to London, England in 2012, according to his bio on the USA Soccer website.
Another midfielder on the team is also a native New York, from the Hudson Valley: Tyler Adams from Wappingers Falls in Dutchess County.

Master Electrician Sol Gibbons, 94, Was A 48-Year Resident Of Mount Kisco
Solomon (Sol) Gibbons died on Nov. 12, 2020 at the age of 94, in White Plains. He was born on April 3, 1926, in Grimsby, England and grew up in the East End of London. After surviving the London Blitz by sheltering in the Underground, Sol entered the RAF in 1946. In 1954, he immigrated to the United States, where he continued working as a master electrician. Sol lived for 48 years in Mt. Kisco and most recently in White Plains.
