Fire Leaves Residence Charred In White Plains A house fire in Westchester that left a residence heavily damaged proved to be a difficult battle for firefighters.  The fire happened on Sunday, June 18 in White Plains at a residence located at 160 Concord Ave., where a heavy exterior fire spread into the interior of the building, according to White Plains Professional Fire Fighters IAFF Local 274.  Once crews arrived at the scene of the blaze, firefighters made a "difficult push" through the front of the house to search the floor where the fire had started, which had conditions of high heat and no visibility, the department sai…
