White Plains Advances To First Sectional Football Final Since '93

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Cameron Crabbe and Chris Jordan each ran for two touchdowns to lead White Plains to 33-6 victory over host John Jay of East Fishkill in the Section 1 Class AA semifinals on Saturday.

The Tigers (7-1) will face North Rockland, the winner of the other semifinal over Roy C. Ketcham, at noon on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Mahopac High School for the Section 1 championship. It is the first sectional final for the Tigers since 1993.

Crabbe's two touchdowns and a strong defense gave the Tigers a 14-0 halftime lead and the locals kept up the pressure through the second half, holding John Jay-East Fishkill to one score early in the third quarter.

Running back Chris Jordan scored twice for the Tigers in the second to extend leads to 20-6 and 27-6.

Crabbe hit Matt Berube for a 20-yard score to make the score 33-7 late in the fourth quarter.
