Students competed against 17 other high school teams and had the opportunity to work with a Morgan Stanley mentor. They were given a case study to analyze, "Wal-Mart's Global Women's Economic Empowerment Initiative," and were judged by a panel of judges on:
• Their ability to identify the problem/issues presented.
•Their ability to identify any social, legal, political or financial impact.
• How well their proposed resolution addressed the problems/issues.
• How cohesive the presentation was.
• How well the team members collaborated.
• How organized the team was and their presentation skills.
Team team members were Frank Marte, Victoria Torres, Ross Van Doren, Alisa Choubay, Robert Lovitch, Matthew Garrison, Samarsha Drysdale, and Jessica Simpson. Students and their parents will be honored at a dinner reception on Tuesday, Nov. 18, when they will receive tablets, gold medals and a trophy to be displayed at school.
