Officers from the Darien Police Department responded to an area home shortly before midnight on Monday, Oct. 11, where there was a report of an unwanted person at the residence.

Upon arrival, police said that the suspect, Port Chester resident Juan Escobar, age 22, was not at the scene, though officers were advised that it was known that he was unwanted at the residence and showed up anyway.

Police were also notified that Escobar had created 10 fake social media accounts in the past several months in an effort to communicate with his victim.

Escobar was located in the area, police said, and he was arrested without incident after admitting to his victim’s claim.

He was charged with second-degree stalking and later released with a court date scheduled for later this year.
