WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Jean M. Pomares of White Plains died Feb. 27. She was 82.
Pomares was born Dec. 16, 1931, in Tuckahoe, to Raffaele and Rita Marrone Salvatore. For 20 years she worked as a sales associate at Macy’s in White Plains.
Pomares is survived by her husband, Francis; daughters, Sharon Pomares of White Plains, Joyce (Frank) Occhipinti of Sleepy Hollow, Jean Marie (Tim) Hiltz of White Plains and Lisa (Ian) Prauda of Hawthorne; brother, John Salvatore of West Harrison; sisters, Antoinette Giuliani of Dobbs Ferry and Mafalda Marinelli of White Plains; 10 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents.
Calling hours are Sunday, March 2 from 3 to 7 p.m. a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 4 at St. John the Evangelist Church. Interment at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
