White Plains Will See Record Warmth Christmas Eve, Day

Dreaming of a white Christmas may be the closest area residents will come to actually seeing it with near-record highs in the forecast, according to the National Weather Service.

There could be lingering showers Thursday, but temperatures should reach well into the 70s. The record high for this date in Central Park is 63 degrees, which should be easily broken. In fact, New York City could see a high temperature Christmas Eve of 74.

Christmas Day will remain unseasonably warm with partly sunny skies and highs in the 60s.

Temperatures will hover in the mid-to-high 50s through the weekend.
