White Plains Man Charged With Cocaine Possession

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A White Plains man, 53, was charged Thursday with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after police found what they believe to be cocaine on him.

Police arrested Mark Smith, known as "Smithy," in a parking lot at 192 Maple St. around 8:45 p.m. The report said he had three clear bags allegedly containing cocaine, weighing a combined 800 milligrams.

Smith was charged with the class D felony and held overnight for arraignment Friday morning.
