Renowned slam poets perform each month at the White Plains Library during its monthly "1st Wednesday" series.
This Wednesday former Bridgewater Poetry Slam Master Valerie Lawson drove in from Maine to share her talents.
Lawson was the co-host of the Boston Poetry Slam and coached an all-girls slam team that went to the YouthSpeaks National Slam. She and poet Michael Brown edit the quarterly "Off the Coast" poetry magazine.
