Rain, Wind Cause White Plains Road Closures, Power Outages

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Heavy rain, flooding and gusty winds have resulted in several road closures and power outages in Westchester County as of early Wednesday morning.

The northbound Bronx River Parkway Parkway is closed between the Sprain Brook Parkway interchange and the Westchester County Center.

Route 119 West is closed between Winthrop Avenue and Route 100A in Greenburgh.

A stretch of the Hutchinson River is also closed at North Avenue in New Rochelle.

Con Ed is reporting a total of 435 customers without power as of early Wednesday morning, including in the Ossining and Briarcliff Manor area, Hartsdale, Port Chester and New Rochelle.

Approximately 2 inches of rain has already fallen with another one inch expected.
