Area residents can expect areas of drizzle and fog to hamper visibility overnight into Thursday morning with cloudy skies sticking around and temperatures dropping to around 40 degrees.
The fog will shroud the region Thursday with rain expected to pick up in intensity as the day unfolds, said the National Weather Service.
There is a 90 percent chance of precipitation, with a quarter and a half of an inch of rain likely. Temperatures will climb to the mid 50s.
Later Thursday night, rain will continue through the region, bringing with it clouds and additional precipitation amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch possibly. There is a 70 percent chance of precipitation overnight, officials with the National Weather Service said.
There is a 30 percent chance of rain continuing into Friday morning, then the sun will peak through sometime after 11 a.m. and temperatures continue to be moderate for this time of year reaching as high as 51 degrees, the National Weather Service said.
Seasonal temperatures will return Friday night when it will cool down below freezing. Saturday's forecast calls for sunny skies most of the day, but temperatures will only peak as high as 40 degrees.
