Police are investigating a reported luring attempt in which a young man offered an elementary aged student candy to get into his vehicle in Westchester.
The incident reportedly took place after early dismissal, in area of Orchard and Rectory streets, said the Port Chester School District.
The Thomas A. Edison School is located in that area.
Reportedly, a Hispanic man driving a black car, beckoned the child with candy while speaking Spanish.
The child left the area and reported the incident.
Port Chester police said they are still gathering information, such as a detailed description of the man who the child said was in his 20s, and are investigating the report.
