Last weekend, The LOFT: LGBT Community Center hosted its LOFT Pride celebration at Memorial United Methodist Church in White Plains, with more than 1,000 people attending the popular event.

According to officials with The LOFT, at the end of the day, when people returned to their cars, they were greeted with anti-LGBT and anti-AIDS religious literature on their windshields, with a note marked “Just For You.”

The police have been notified, and the Westchester County LGBT Advisory Board has sent a letter to County Executive Rob Astorino asking him to publicly denounce an act of hate on Pride Day.

Anyone with information regarding the hate crime has been asked to contact LOFT Executive Director Judy Troilo at The Loft at (914) 948-2932 ext. 11.

“If you or anyone you know were in the parking lot at that time and saw anyone placing this offensive, disgusting literature on windshields, please contact (me),” Troilo said in a statement. “Please share with as many as possible (with) who you know or think were at LOFT Pride 2017 and might have witnessed this hateful act. We will not stop until we find them.”
