A former assistant varsity wrestling coach in Westchester has pleaded guilty to two felony counts of rape.

Tyler Sick, the 30-year-old Tarrytown man who taught in New York and acted as a coach at Edgemont High School, pleaded guilty in court on Tuesday after being accused of raping a teenage girl in Greenburgh in 2016.

According to the complaint filed in Greenburgh Town Court, Sick had been involved with illegal sexual contact with a minor, which led to a joint police investigation. Detectives from the Special Victims Units in Greenburgh and Tarrytown were assisted by the Special Prosecutions Division of the Office of the Westchester County District Attorney's Office and the Westchester County Children's Advocacy Center.

The complaint alleges that Sick had sexual contact with the minor for more than a year, beginning in December 2016. The nature of the sexual contact has not been disclosed by officials. Following his arrest, Sick was dismissed from his position as the assistant varsity wrestling coach. He was also been reassigned from his teaching position in the Bronx without pay.

Sick lived in Tarrytown at the time of the offenses he pleaded guilty to. He currently resides in North Carolina.
