John Landolt, Retired Bank VP, Dies at 83

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – John Percy Landolt, 83, died Sunday, April 1, at his home in White Plains. 

He was born March 25, 1929, in New York City to the late Marie (Allison) and Percy Edward Landolt. He graduated from Hamilton College in 1951 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 as a first lieutenant.  

Landolt was employed as a vice president of international finance at Chemical Bank, now JP Morgan Chase, for his entire 37-year professional career. He retired in 1990 and enjoyed world travel and time with his family.  

He was married to Marion Madeleine (Berresse) for 34 years and shared many years with his second partner, Lee Philbrick. He is survived by his children, Madeleine Berresse Piat-Landolt, J. Robert Landolt and Virginia Anne Landolt Henning, and eight grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held at McMahon, Lyon and Hartnett Funeral Home in White Plains on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. A second visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home, with a short service to follow.
