Friends of Karen Seeks Westchester Support To Get Gifts For Kids

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Friends of Karen is seeking support from Westchester families to help provide holiday gifts for sick children and their siblings from throughout the region.

The group’s “Holiday Adopt-A-Family” Gifts for Children program prepares presents for each Friends of Karen sick child as well as his or her “well” siblings. Children send a wish list to Friends of Karen. The organization sends the list to a “kind-hearted elf” to purchase items on the list. Friends of Karen sends the gifts to the families.

People who want to support the cause without shopping can also make a monetary donation through the Friends of Karen website. People interested in supporting the event by purchasing gifts can contact Denise Tredwell at 914-617-4052 or via email at denisetredwell@friendsofkaren.org.

Drop off points in Westchester are at Friends of Karen at 118 Titicus Road in North Salem and at the Houlihan Lawrence Real Estate Office at1145 Pleasantville Road in Briarcliff Manor.
