They're a meal in a hand. Here are seven sandwich spots to try around Westchester south of Interstate 287.

Bridge Street Cafe, 1 Bridge St Ste 100, Irvington: You can order an array from Greek Wrap of feta, olive, sun-dried tomatoes, baby spinach, and Buffalo chicken and mozzarella with basil and pesto sandwiches on a health-inspired menu at great prices when you consider the zip code, $8 and $7.50 respectively.

Rye Ridge Deli, 126 S. Ridge St., Rye Brook: It's a classic New York-style deli and restaurant with inside and outside seating. There are 23 "Overstuffed" sandwiches on their menu including grilled chicken with bacon and avocado, corned beef and pastrami.

Bagel Emporium, 211 Irving Ave., Port Chester: Here you build your own egg sandwich and they have a dizzying array of wraps, paninis, and specialty sandwiches. A "Monte Cristo" of ham, turkey, melted Swiss with Dijon mustard is on the list.

A Google "Guide" Nicanor Cordova said, "Great and delicious bagels and sandwiches"

Anthony's Delicatessen, 619 Halstead Ave., Mamaroneck: They're a casual deli with thick sandwiches and some grocery items.

Chris Molina a Google "Guide" in a review says, "The Godfather hero was insane. When they handed it to me it felt like the doctor handing me my newborn child. It weighed just as much. Drove from Long Island just to try it and it was well worth the trip."

Larchmont Tavern, 104 Chatsworth Ave., Larchmont: Neighborhood pub since the 1930s with a warm, homey appeal. Options here are “Z’ Fricken Chicken” which is fried chicken tenders smothered in Buffalo sauce on a roll with blue cheese dressing and "Blue Melt" of grilled turkey on a toasted wedge with avocado, melted bleu cheese, and sauteed onions.

“Love the Chatsworth burger stuffed with cheese and the Balboa, roast beef on garlic bread with melted swiss. Balboa (the official sandwich of Westchester County," says a Yelp post by Brandon T.

Sundance Kitchen & Cantina, 208 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains: It's a sleek Mexican spot with a staggering menu from breakfast burritos, to omelets, to salads to empanadas and many classic sandwiches. Their version of "Godfather" has prosciutto, breaded chicken cutlet, and mozzarella.

Britney L. of Kaneohe, Hawaii, on Yelp says, "We love Sundance kitchen! Very delicious food and fast delivery. My favorite sandwich is The Real Deal."

Buon Amici Delicatessen, 830 Scarsdale Ave., Scarsdale: They have paninis, wraps, and heroes like, "Michelangelo" of parma, prosciutto, mozzarella and tomato and "Mufalata" of salami, provolone, and black olive pesto.

Cheyenne C. of Mamaroneck on Yelp, " So good! Great Italian deli with a ton of unique and creative sandwiches and paninis. My personal favorite is the 007 which has chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, bacon, bbq sauce, and hot sauce. Prices are fair and everything is consistently delicious."
