VNA of Hudson Valley's certified home health agency and hospice services would be taken over by North Shore Home Care Certified Home Health Agency, which a Northwell spokesman said would likely retain the approximately 350 current employees of VNA of Hudson Valley, according to Crain's.

Northwell Health changed its name from North Shore-LIJ Health System in 2015.

"Obviously these kinds of things are going on all throughout New York state and across the country, and you've got to be forward thinking," Michele Quirolo, president and chief executive of VNA of Hudson Valley, told Crain's Health Pulse in an article linked here.

VNA of Hudson Valley reported losses of $409,796 in 2014 and $698,681 the previous year, according to annual reports filed with the IRS, the report said.
