Expect Delays: Taconic Parkway Stretch To Be Closed For Repairs
Motorists on the Taconic State Parkway can expect some delays due to a roadway closure in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation said the roadway will be closed along the southbound lanes in Dutchess County between Exit 47 and Exit 45 in the town of Lagrangeville. The road will be closed for repairs beginning Thursday, Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. through about 6 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 10. The department said motorists should follow the posted detour utilizing Route 55 and Route 82.

I-84 Stretch Reopens After Tractor-Trailer Fire

The westbound lanes were shut down in Northern Fairfield County between Exits 5 and 4 in Danbury early Friday afternoon, July 17. Week-Long, Overnight Route 9W Closures Scheduled
There will be nightly road closures on Route 9W in Orange County for several days. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that Route 9W will be closed in both directions between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Monday, March 2, and Friday, March 6 at Willow Avenue in the Town of Cornwall. During the construction work, motorists can expect delays in the area.

It happened around 7:45 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 20, in Sullivan County eastbound in Mamakating between the bus and a pickup truck, state police said. The injuries were reported as being minor. Route 17 was closed eastbound between Exits 112 and 113 in Mamakating for about two hours. The lanes reopened just before 10 a.m.

There will be a single-lane closure on Route 9W “until further notice” in the Hudson Valley to permit contracting crews to complete construction work in the area. Truck Fire Causes I-84 Lane Closure
A stretch of I-84 has reopened after tractor-trailer fire. The fire started around 11:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 31 eastbound in Montgomery, said the New York State Police. There were no injuries but the highway was closed for a short time while the fire was extinguished, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Nevel said as of 12:30 p.m., only the one exit ramp lane at Exit 28 is still blocked. An investigation is underway into the cause of the fire.
