Teen Football Player Airlifted After Losing Feeling In Legs In Sparta, Police Say A 13-year-old boy was airlifted to the hospital after he was injured playing football on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 21, in Sussex County authorities said. At 8:11 p.m., the boy was playing football at Station Park in Sparta Township when he temporarily lost feeling in his legs, Sparta Township Police Captain Thomas Snyder said.  An Atlantic Air helicopter transported the boy to Morristown Medical Center, Snyder said.  The young athlete regained feeling in both legs before the helicopter arrived, but was still hospitalized for for further evaluation, Snyder said.

Man Purposely Hit Goose With E-Bike, Hoboken Police Say A 30-year-old Hoboken man was arrested and charged on Wednesday, Sept. 11 after he intentionally hit a goose with an e-bike, authorities said. At 5:35 p.m., officers responded to Pier A park on reports that a person hit a goose on purpose with a bike, Hoboken police said. Police found Andrew Mullin, who fit the description of the individual, and arrested him, officers said. Mullin was charged with cruelty to animals and issued  summons for riding an e-bike on a walkway, police said. He was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, police said.
