A Yale University student was sexually assaulted after waking up to find an unknown man pointing a gun at her. The incident took place around 2 a.m., Tuesday, May 9, on the 300 block of Elm Street in New Haven. Yale Police Chief Anthony Campbell said a graduate student was asleep in her residence when she awoke to an unknown male pointing a gun at her. One of the victims in the mass shooting at the Tulsa, Oklahoma hospital has ties to the Northeast. Dr. Preston J. Phillips was a Harvard Medical School graduate who worked at the Yale New Haven Hospital for years during his residency before ultimately landing as an orthopedic surgeon at the hospital where he was murdered. One Killed In Fiery Crash Involving Long Island Teen
Police are investigating a fiery crash involving a Long Island teen that left one person dead on a stretch of I-95 in Connecticut overnight. It happened around 10:50 p.m. Saturday, April 9 in West Haven. A 1970 Plymouth Duster with New York license plates was stationary in the median on I-95 northbound just before Exit 42 when a 2009 Honda Accord LX with Connecticut plates rear-ended the Duster, Connecticut State Police said.
