Driver Killed In 2-Vehicle Crash On Sunrise Highway In Manorville A man was killed and another driver was hospitalized following a crash on Long Island. Emergency crews were called at around 12:40 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, for a two-vehicle crash in Manorville on Sunrise Highway. Suffolk County Police said 63-year-old Michael Forman, of Hampton Bays, was driving a pickup truck westbound on Sunrise Highway near William Floyd Parkway when he sideswiped a sedan. The victim, identified as Akeem Brothers, was killed around 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 18, in Shirley, said the Suffolk County Police. Man Hit By Car While Walking Across William Floyd Parkway, Police Say A man was seriously injured after being hit by a car while he was walking across the William Floyd Parkway. It happened around 10:50 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16 in Shirley, Suffolk County Police said. Daniel Quigley, 33, of Shirley, was walking westbound across the parkway on the Route 27 overpass when he was struck a southbound 2009 Toyota Camry. Quigley was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Camry, Andre Seura, 45, of Shirley, was not injured. The Camry was impounded for a safety check.
