Suspects On Loose After Attempted Armed Robbery At Riverhead Liquor Store Two suspects are on the loose after an overnight attempted armed robbery at a Long Island liquor store. It happened around 8:10 p.m. Saturday, April 29 in Riverhead. That's when the two masked men entered Lucky Wines & Liquors at 134 West Main St. with what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money, the Riverhead Town Police Department said. Both subjects fled the store with no proceeds.  Riverhead Police patrol units and Riverhead K-9 unit canvassed the area and were unable to locate the suspects. Compliance Checks Conducted At 19 Riverhead Establishments Nineteen stores on Long Island passed muster when it came to selling alcohol to minors during a string operation. The stores, all in Suffolk County, were part of an inspection effort by the Riverhead Police Department in cooperation with the town's Community Awareness Program on Wednesday, June 29. The incident was reported around 11 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, on West Main St., in Riverhead. When police arrived at the home the victim told officers a person armed with a handgun attempted to gain entry into a room, said the Riverhead Police. Woman Accused Of Stabbing Victim In Suffolk County 7-Eleven Parking Lot, Police Say A 29-year-old woman is facing an assault charge after police said she stabbed a woman in the parking lot of a Long Island store. On Wednesday, Nov. 10, officers responded to a report of two women fighting in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven, located at 245 West Main St. in Riverhead, according to the Riverhead Police Department. When officers arrived, they saw that a 31-year-old Riverhead woman suffering from "extensive stab wounds," police said.
