Suspect Nabbed For String Of Assaults, Robbery At Long Island Businesses A man implicated in a string of assaults and an armed robbery is in police custody after targeting multiple Long Island businesses this month. Hempstead resident Lesean Armstead was arrested at approximately 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22 on robbery charges after he was located by the officers of the Hempstead Police Department and transported to the Nassau County Robbery Squad to be investigated.
