Covid-19: 1,393 New LI Cases Reported; Cuomo Asks FEMA For Four More Temporary Hospitals There have been 1,393 more confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Long Island as the state total rose to 44,635. As of Friday, March 27, In Nassau County, 743 new cases were reported, bringing the total to 4,657 since the outbreak began. Suffolk saw 650 new cases, bringing the total to 3,385. Statewide, there were 7,377 new cases. (See first image above.) New York remains the state most plagued by the virus, with 44,635 cases that resulted in 519 deaths, up from 385 the day before.
