2 Men Remove Safe, Other Items From Unlocked Long Island Home, Police Say Police on Long Island are seeking the public's help in identifying two men who allegedly entered a home and made off with a safe with cash and a duffel bag with clothes and other items. The incident took place in Baldwin around 1:20 a.m. Monday, March 20, on Anderson Street. According to Nassau County detectives, two men entered an unoccupied residence located on Anderson Street through an unlocked rear door.  They removed a safe that contained an undetermined amount of cash, along with a duffle bag that contained miscellaneous items and clothing, police said. Man Found Dead In Front Of Building On Long Island A man was found dead in front of a building on Long Island. The body was discovered in front of 2350 Merrick Ave. in Merrick on Friday, April 10 at around 5:30 p.m., according to Nassau County Police.
