Investigators are asking for information after a man was found dead in the Great South Bay. The unidentified man was found in the waters off of Grass Island around 2:40 pm., Tuesday, Nov. 29. Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives say the man, who was found floating in a foot of water, had died of an apparent drowning death. A man has died nearly a week after he was found critically injured on Long Island. Suffolk County Police Fifth Precinct officers responded to a 911 call of a man found on the ground in East Patchogue in the parking lot of 770 Montauk Highway on July 17 at approximately 12 a.m. Friday, June 17 It was determined that the man suffered a head injury, according to police. According to Suffolk County Police, the man robbed the West Hills gas station on Walt Whitman Road at approximately 10 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11. Police are investigating after finding an unidentified man dead along the shoreline of a Long Island beach. The unconscious man was found around 7:24 p.m., Monday, Nov. 2, in Atlantic Beach, said Nassau County Police. An unidentified man is still at large after stealing fishing rods valued at $5,600, each with a gold reel and engraved with the name of their owner, from a boat docked in East Hampton. The man was captured on surveillance video boarding a boat to steal the custom Captain Neil Faulkner fishing rods at the West Lake Marina at 352 West Lake Drive on Aug. 26 at 3:10 a.m., according to police. Suffolk County Man Killed After House Fire Breaks Out
A man was killed after a house fire broke out at a Long Island home overnight. Riverhead Town Police responded to a 911 call of a fire in Jamesport at 66 St. Mary’s Drive at 4:12 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13. The man, who has yet to be identified, was found dead in the house. The cause of the fire is under investigation and does not appear criminal at this time.
