ID Released For Man Found Dead In Wooded Area Near Suffolk County Jail In Riverhead Authorities have identified a man whose body was found in a wooded area near a Long Island jail. The discovery was made at around 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, in Riverhead near Center and Nugent drives, located just yards from the Suffolk County government campus. According to Southampton Town Police, a passerby spotted the man while walking in the woods and called 911. Man Found Dead Floating In Water Next To BMW On Long Island Police are investigating after finding a man dead inside a BMW that was found floating in a body of water on Long Island. The incident took place in Port Washington around 3:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8 in the area of 175 Roslyn West Shore Road. According to Nassau County detectives, a witness spotted a white object floating in the water at 175 Roslyn West Shore Road and contacted police.  Following an investigation, the object recovered was a 2023 BMW X3 SUV that was removed from the water by the Nassau County Emergency Services Unit.  Also discovered and removed from the water…

Nor'easter: Man Found Dead Beside Shovel On Long Island Police are investigating the death of 53-year-old man who was found unresponsive on Long Island.  Officers responded to Belmont Circle in Syosset at about 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, according to the Nassau County Police Department. Man Found Dead In Front Of Citi Field Man Found Dead In Front Of Citi Field
Man Found Dead In Front Of Citi Field A Westchester County man was found dead lying in a puddle of water in front of Citi Field in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in New York City. Jywan Stovall, age 40, of Elmsford, was spotted lying on the ground just after 5 p.m. Monday, March 1 at 38th Avenue and Seaver Way, said the NYPD.  When found, Stovall was unconscious and unresponsive, partially submerged in water, and with no apparent signs of trauma, NYPD said.  EMS responded to the location and pronounced Stovall dead at the scene.  The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation remains…

Second Body Found At Long Island Storage Facility Police on Long Island have found a second body in a storage facility. Long Beach police said the person died at a facility on Park Place on Monday, Jan. 4,  reported News 12 Long Island. The body is the second found at the location within two weeks, News 12 said. Police report no foul play is suspected, but an investigation is ongoing.
