New Series Largely Produced On Long Island Debuts On HBO Long Island will take center stage in the long-awaited debut of HBO’s brand-new drama “The Gilded Age.” Largely produced on Long Island, “The Gilded Age,” starring Christine Baranski and Cynthia Nixon, features New York City in 1882 after a young Marian Brook, played by Louisa Jacobson, moves from rural Pennsylvania to the big city. The show was set to premiere on HBO at 9 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 24, produced and written by Julian Fellowes of “Downton Abbey” fame. Popular Longtime Actor Dies In NY At Age 65 Rick Aiello, an actor known for roles in films including "Do The Right Thing," has died in the Hudson Valley at the age of 65. Aiello died of pancreatic cancer on Monday, July 26, in Orange County at a hospital in Warwick, according to Deadline. The outlet reported that his death was announced by members of his family. He previously appeared with his father, actor Danny Aiello, in "Harlem Nights" and other films. Aiello also appeared in "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me," "Sex and the City" and "The Sopranos."

Sopranos Star Struck By Porsche While Taking Walk With Family Joe Pantoliano, one of the stars of The Sopranos, was reportedly rushed to the hospital on Friday after being struck by a car in Fairfield County. The incident happened Friday evening, May 1 in Wilton, Pantoliano's wife, Nancy Sheppard, told TMZ. She said the family had been out for a walk in their neighborhood when the Porsche was T-boned by another vehicle. Pantoliano, 68, suffered injuries to his left leg and shoulder and a gash to his head, after the force of the crash caused him to collide into a nearby wooden fence.
