Man Wanted For Stealing Merchandise From Suffolk Store Police investigators on Long Island are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to locate a suspect who allegedly stole chainsaws from an area hardware store. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers has offered a reward as they attempt to identify a man who stole two Stihl chainsaws from Brinkmann’s on Route 25 A in Miller Place at approximately 7:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18. Wanted: Alert Issued For Men Using Child To Steal Power Tool In Port Jefferson The Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to track down two men who used a child to help them steal a saw from a Port Jefferson hardware store. According to police, the two men, accompanied by two children, entered MVP Power Outdoor Equipment on Comseqogue Road at approximately 10:30 a.m. on May 8. One of the men instructed one of the children to remove a Stihl concrete saw from the shelf, and then the four walked out of the store and fled.
