The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) this fall. Two Men Confront Woman In Driveway Of Her Smithtown Home, Steal Money, Checks, Police Say Police are investigating an incident during which a Long Island woman was allegedly confronted outside her home by two men who stole money and checks. The incident took place in Smithtown around 9:40 a.m., Tuesday, July 26, as the woman stood in her driveway on Grandview Lane.
