An investigation is underway after a Long Island man was killed in a crash. The single-vehicle crash happened in the eastbound lanes of Route 27 (Sunrise Highway) in Southampton near County Road 111 (Eastport Manor Road) on Saturday, Nov. 12, New York State Police reported. Police: Suffolk Man Charged With DWI After Passenger Injured In Fiery Crash
A Long Island man has been arrested for alleged DWI following an early morning crash that caused the vehicle to burst into flames and left a woman seriously injured. The crash took place around 3 a.m., Monday, July 19, in Montauk on Route 27 (Montauk Highway), said Det. Sgt. Daniel Toia with the Town of East Hampton Police Department. The identity has been released of a man who was killed in a Memorial Day single-vehicle crash on Long Island. It happened around 7 p.m. Monday, May 31 in West Babylon. The man, now identified as 24-year-old Joshua Azon, of Massapequa, was driving a 2020 Audi S4 eastbound on Sunrise Highway (Route 27) near the Route 109 overpass when he lost control of the vehicle and struck the guardrail between the highway and the eastbound service road, Suffolk County Police said. The identity has been released of a man who was found dead on a busy Long Island roadway and police are now saying it's likely he was the victim of a hit-and-run crash. A woman was killed after being struck by two vehicles on a busy Long Island roadway has been identified. The incident happened on Tuesday, March 3 at about 7:20 p.m. in Massapequa. A 21-year-old Long Island man was seriously injured in a single-car crash overnight. It happened on Saturday, Nov. 16 at approximately 3 a.m. in West Islip. Brandon Johnson of West Islip, was driving a 2006 Dodge Charger northbound on Udall Road when he lost control of the vehicle under the Route 27 overpass and crashed into a concrete pillar, Suffolk County Police said.
