Driver Airlifted After Crashing Into Utility Poles, Fire Hydrant In East Farmingdale A 25-year-old man was airlifted to the hospital after crashing a car into two utility poles and a fire hydrant on Long Island. The crash happened on Route 109 in East Farmingdale near the Southern State Parkway at about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. SCPD said a 2012 Mercedes Benz C250 was traveling south on Route 109 when it left the roadway and struck the utility poles and the fire hydrant. Drunk Driver Crashes Into Parked Cars In East Farmingdale A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly driving drunk and crashing his car into numerous parked vehicles. The crash took place in Suffolk County when an unidentified 26-year-old Oakdale man was driving a 2021 Mercedes-Benz on Route 109 in East Farmingdale when he drove across the median, struck a fence, and multiple parked, unoccupied vehicles around 2:30 a.m., Friday, March 18. The man was arrested and charged with DWI, said the Suffolk County Police. A 50-year-old passenger in the Mercedes was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, police said.

Three Charged In Connection To 7-Eleven Robbery Spree In Suffolk Three people were nabbed for allegedly conducting a string of 7-Eleven robberies that spanned five months throughout Suffolk County. Akeel Swazey, 36, address unknown; Audra Litwin, 33, of Babylon, and William Jackson, 39, of Amityville, were arrested on Thursday, May 23, following an investigation by the Major Case Section into the six robberies that took place in March and May, said the Suffolk County Police.  Swazey was also charged for an addition robbery that took place in December of last year, police said.  All three were charged with six counts of robbery.
