Former Babylon Teacher Admits Sexually Abusing Underage Student, Avoids Felony Conviction
A former Long Island high school teacher will avoid a felony conviction after admitting that he sexually abused a 15-year-old student. Former Babylon High School teacher Timothy Harrison, age 48, of Oak Beach, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child in Suffolk County Court on Friday, Sept. 15. The abuse began with flirty text messages that Harrison sent the girl beginning in September 2013, according to prosecutors.
