Bank Robbed For Second Time In Two Days At This Suffolk County Hamlet A suspect is on the loose for the second time in as many days following a bank robbery in a Long Island hamlet. The latest bank to be robbed in Farmingville was the Sterling National Bank. It happened on Monday, Feb. 3 at about 10:10 a.m., Suffolk County Police said. A man entered the bank, located at 696 Horseblock Road,  and handed the teller a note demanding cash, Suffolk County Police said. Video: Man Arrested For Stealing Pocketbooks Out Of Vehicles In Suffolk A Long Island man was taken into police custody after being caught on camera stealing pocketbooks from multiple vehicles at gas stations in Suffolk County over the past few weeks. Ronkonkoma resident Craig Mastandrea, 47, was arrested early on Tuesday, Sept. 10 in Nesconset for eight alleged incidents where he stole pocketbooks from unsuspecting victims at area gas stations. Police said that an investigation was launched on Saturday, Aug. 24, when a woman reported that her pocketbook had been stolen while pumping gas at Speedway Gas on Portion Road.
