Doggie Paddle: NY Army Veteran Kayaking, Biking 4K Miles Fundraising For Service Dogs
An Army veteran from New York is going the distance - 4,000 miles to be exact - to help his fellow veterans in need of service dogs. Saratoga County native Jimmy Thomas, age 61, of Ballston Spa, is currently kayaking from the town of Glenville all the way to Key West, Florida. He then plans to bicycle back to upstate New York. New Airline Coming To Long Island MacArthur
It'll be a breeze to get a flight at MacArthur Airport after an upstart airline added the Long Island destination to its growing list of routes. “Breeze Airways,” which was founded by David Neelman, the mind behind JetBlue and other major airline start-ups, is set to begin flying in and out of the Ronkonkoma airport as soon as early 2022. Next Tropical Storm Of 2021 Hurricane Season Forming Off East Coast
The next named storm of the 2021 hurricane season is now developing. It's off the East Coast of the United States and could become a tropical depression or tropical storm on Friday night, Sept. 17, or Saturday, Sept. 18, forecasters say. New York State is scouting additional new sites for temporary hospitals, with a goal of having a 1,000-plus patient overflow facility in each NYC borough as well as Westchester, Rockland, Nassau and Suffolk counties, Gov.
