First Total Solar Eclipse In 99 Years To Be Visible In New York: Here's When, Where
New York officials are hard at work making preparations for a historic solar eclipse event that will be the first one visible in the state in nearly a century. The total eclipse will be visible in the western and northern parts of New York state during the afternoon of Monday, April 8, according to Gov. Kathy Hochul and her office. Embattled former New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, once one of the state’s most powerful politicians, has reportedly died at the age of 77 in a Hudson Valley prison.
