Know Him? Man Wanted For Damaging Car In Port Jefferson Police on Long Island are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly damaged a vehicle last month. The incident took place in Port Jefferson on Thursday, Sept. 21 in the ShopRite parking lot on Nesconset Highway. According to Suffolk County Police, a man driving a black Chevrolet Silverado (see the second image above) struck a Toyota Camry in the parking lot of the grocery store and fled the scene. Dozens Sickened After Dining At Stony Brook Restaurant A popular Long Island restaurant has reopened after 28 people received food poisoning after eating alleged bad rice. The incident took place in Stony Brook on Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Kumo Sushi & Steakhouse. The Suffolk County Police Department and 13 local fire departments responded to the restaurant to help the ailing patrons, officials said. At least 28 individuals reported symptoms, and 12 people were treated at Stony Brook University Hospital, the department said. Witnesses reported seeing people vomiting at the restaurant. Woman Wanted For Using Stolen Credit Cards At Suffolk Walgreens, CVS Stores A woman has been accused of grand larceny after police say she used stolen credit cards at multiple Long Island pharmacies. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are on the lookout for a woman, pictured above, who is accused of using stolen credit cards at Walgreens and CVS in Centereach on Sunday, Nov. 17 around 9 p.m. The credit cards were stolen from a pocketbook inside a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta parked at Carrabba’s Italian Grill in Smithtown (730 Nesconset Highway) at approximately 11:30 a.m. the same day, according to police.
