Man Charged With Hate Crimes After Brutally Attacking Woman In Westchester, Police Say
A man has been arrested on charges of committing a hate crime and attempted murder after allegedly pushing down and brutally attacking an Asian woman in Westchester. Tammel Esco, age 42, of Yonkers, was arrested on Friday, March 11 after Yonkers Police responded to an apartment complex for a report of a woman bleeding at the scene. Three Suspects Nabbed In Connection To Drive-By Westchester Shooting That Injured Four
Three suspects have been apprehended after four people were injured, one critically, in a drive-by shooting in Westchester. On Thursday, June 10, at approximately 4:15 p.m., officers responded to the area of Elm Street at Oak Street in Yonkers on a report of a shooting incident with multiple victims. Upon arrival, officers located three gunshot victims, the most serious of which having been struck in the chest, Yonkers Police said. Cops Sickened After Exposure To Drug Or Chemical During Arrest In Region
Several police officers are recovering after being exposed to an unidentified drug or chemical while making an arrest over the weekend in Westchester. The incident took place during the evening on Friday, May 7, in Yonkers. That's when the Yonkers PD officers responded to a call of an agitated man on Ravine Avenue with a loaded, defaced handgun who was arguing with himself and threatening to shoot everyone on sight.
