A man has suffered severe injuries after he was hit by a car on Long Island, authorities said. The incident took place in Levittown just before midnight on Thursday, April 27. According to police, the victim, a man approximately 60 years of age, was crossing Hempstead Turnpike going north near Jerusalem Avenue. While crossing, he was struck by a 32-year-old driving a 2013 Nissan Altima traveling west on Hempstead Turnpike. Police Identify FedEx Driver Killed In Crash On Long Island
Authorities have identified a 23-year-old FedEx driver who died in a crash on Long Island. Zachary Allen, of Oceanside, was identified as the man who died from his injuries following a crash that occurred in Levittown just after 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, according to an update from the Nassau County Police Department on Thursday, June 16. Investigators said Allen was driving a delivery truck when he collided with a box truck on Jerusalem Avenue. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital. A man walking along a busy Long Island roadway was seriously injured after being hit by a United States Postal Service vehicle. The incident took place around 5 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 17, on Jerusalem Avenue in Levittown, said the Nassau County Police.
