Woman Struck By Jeep At Busy Lake Ronkonkoma Intersection A woman suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle at a busy Long Island intersection. The incident happened around 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6 in Lake Ronkonkoma. The woman was walking southbound on Hawkins Avenue when she was struck by a  2019 Jeep Renegade that was attempting to turn right on Express Drive North, Suffolk County Police said. Police Seek Women Accused Of Stealing Costumes From Stony Brook Spirit Halloween Authorities asked the public for help identifying two women who are accused of stealing costumes from Spirit Halloween on Long Island. Two women stole costumes from the Stony Brook store, located at 2110 Nesconset Highway, at about 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, Suffolk County Crime Stoppers reported on Monday, Nov. 7.
